Melissa Kinney, Legal Assistant

In 2016, Melissa graduated from Kennebec Valley Community with an associate degree in General Science and returned in 2018 to earn an associate degree in Medical Assisting.  Prior to working for Maine Elder Law Attorneys, Missy provided quality home health care services to families in Somerset County.  Home care and managing the demands of a household is a true passion for Melissa, a passion that she has used to assist clients in a variety of settings.  This makes Missy the ideal person for coordinating the services provided through MELA’s Companion Care program.  Today, she coordinates the visits for our clients who need a little support to remain in the community, helps to transition when this step is necessary, and works closely with families to achieve their objectives.

Born and raised in Maine, Missy currently lives in Norridgewock and on the same road where she grew up. Melissa’s daughter Mikayla who is off to a Maine college in the Fall is her pride and joy.

When Missy is not doing what she loves in helping the Firm clients, one can find her either at home or with her family cooking, watching movies, or attending one of her daughter’s many academic functions.  Words to describe Missy, are dedicated and organized.
